so i went skating last week on the rideau canal~ probably the last time for this winter, considering how the winter is seemingly over :P
i don't get cuts/bruises that much......uh...let me rephrase that one ;P..... i don't get lasting cuts/bruises much~~~~ especially my "much" involvement in sports :P anyway, this time, i skated a little too fast...lo and behold, i tripped and landed knee first without any attempt to block the fall...when i first hit the ice, i thought it was over!! and for what felt like the longest time, i couldn't move my legs...and when i did try to get up, i got the comment that i looked a new-born gazelle trying to walk....kee hee hee~~ and i didn't even have to ice it cuz it was already frozen!
the first night it was really really red and swollen, but now i have this BIG purple bruise on my right knee ^O^ this is actually quite interesting considering how i don't usually get them~ i even took pictures of it!! ^^ it reminded me of the time where i landed chin first on gravel when i ran for first base in softball ^___^ shoulda taken a picture of that one!!!!
it's quite fun to walk crippled for a couple of days i'd say :P makes me thankful of what i normal take for granted :P haha~ and the picture below~ a little sparrow, once found that i'm hurt, flew over and gave me a purple band-aid :D :D :D muahah

didn't realize it was so big a bruise... o.o =/
though i can't help but concern, i really admire you for how you take inconveniences like being sick or having to walk crippled for a few days and turn them into thankfulness. i'll try and live this way too.
the taking photo thing, that is so totally something i see you doing, i'm glad you're happy enough to do so. helps to ease the concern. your whole attitude does. you're amazing.
hi rita! tell me about your life!
